HES contributed to a seminar for homeowners in Melrose, in the south of Scotland. Home Energy Scotland is sponsored by the Scottish Government to deliver energy saving advice to members of the public and is the first point of call for a homeowner considering a thermal upgrade. HES has worked with them for many years and trains their energy assessors. In this event the focus was on basic fabric measures on traditional buildings. HES outlined their guidance in the document ‘Fabric Improvements for Energy Efficiency in Traditional Buildings’:
